Door County Rubber Stamps Hosts Art Weekend Oct. 25-27

Door County Rubber Stamps will host an Autumn Art Extravaganza Oct. 25-27. 

On Oct. 25, tour the peninsula 9 am – 5 pm with Oscar as your guide. Travel to the northern tip to take in the galleries and speciality shopping experiences. The cost is a gas contribution and paying for your own lunch. Or, you may stop at Bridgeport Resort to work on a number of art projects during an all-day make-and-take party, 10 am – 5 pm. Projects are priced separately. Participants are asked to take a basic art kit. 

At the 6 pm potluck dinner, participants should share their favorite comfort food with the group, and an embossing demo will follow the dinner, 7:30-9 pm. Then at 9 pm, enjoy a themed white-elephant exchange. Gifts must be a craft item that values at a minimum of $40 and should fall into a theme of your choice, such as Halloween, orange and black, wildlife or holiday.

A card-making contest will be held during the weekend with the theme Don’t ‘Leaf’ Me Out. Contestants must use one component from Door County Rubber Stamps or Northwood’s Rubber Stamps. Materials are not provided. Cards must be oversized – 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches – and can be done in any style. Judging will be based on creativity, the variety of elements and fall colors.
