Stamp enthusiasts, mark your calendars for Door County Rubber Stamps & Scrapbooking’s Absolutely Awesome Autumn Art Experience weekend, Sept. 30 – Oct. 2.
The weekend includes a round robin of mini-classes, many demos (using stencils, die cuts and embossing folders), a make-and-take table, a friendly buffet supper, as well as time to chat and network.
A round robin is a series of mini-classes, most often offered in a group of four to six classes. The round robin will be held Sept. 30 at 1 pm, and includes five mini-classes/projects taught by five instructors. The theme is “Extreme Surfaces/Utilizing the Appropriate Ink.” Participants will be introduced to five different surfaces to stamp and add coloration to the projects offered. There will be stamping on wood veneer, sandpaper, cork, tile and coated paper. The fee is $45 for the five classes (includes all supplies).
Classes are filling fast, but there may still be openings in the following classes: Oct. 1 – “Too Cute to Spook,” 8:30 am and “Holly & Poinsettia,” 7 pm; and Oct. 2 – “Mixed Media,” 2:30 pm. Call 920.746.9080 to register.
Also visiting this weekend is Jean Arneson of Northwoods Rubber Stamps. Arneson is the artist that has drawn all of Northwood’s exclusive designs for the rubber stamp company based out of Stillwater, Minnesota. She will be at Door County Rubber Stamps on Oct. 1 & 2 for two signing times. All rubber stamps purchased this weekend will be eligible to be signed by Arneson.
