Door County Sail & Power Squadron Presents Seminar

June 25, the Door County Sail & Power Squadron is offering a free two-hour seminar, “Sail Trim & Rig Tuning,” beginning at 9 am, at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club, located at 600 Nautical Drive in Sturgeon Bay.

Seminar attendees will learn interactions and dynamics between the boat, wind, and sails, along with sail and rigging terminology, trimming, wind flow, control, and more.

The instructor, Bill Galligan, a longtime Squadron member, has sailed in everything from 10-foot dinghies to 65-foot racing machines. He sailed competitively in college and has boated on most of the Great Lakes, connecting waterways, several major rivers, and the Caribbean.

The Power Squadron has four additional seminars planned for the second and fourth Saturdays of July and August at SkipperBud’s Quarterdeck Marina in Sturgeon Bay. For a complete listing visit http://www.usps.org/door or the Squadron’s page on Facebook.
