Door County Salvation Army Sets New Collection Record in 2015

The Salvation Army of Door County set a new record for donations collected during 2015’s Christmas Red Kettle Campaign. The amount raised was $44,335, which is five percent higher than the previous record. This marks the fifth year in a row that donations have exceeded $40,000.

Of the total, $8,642 was collected in Northern Door thanks to 100 percent of the bell ringing slots being filled. Since the Northern Door Kiwanis Club helped get bell ringing sites organized in Northern Door nine years ago, more than $70,000 has been collected there. The money collected stays here in Door County to help local people who are in need.
