Door County Takes Top Spot in ‘Best Wisconsin Attraction’ Contest

The fans spoke and Door County took the top spot in the USA TODAY – 10 Best Readers’ Choice Contest for “Best Wisconsin Attraction.” Voting began July 31 and ended Aug. 28. Door County was chosen as one of 20 nominees by a panel of relevant Wisconsin travel experts, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. In addition to Door County coming in at number one, attractions that took the other top 10 spots in order from second to tenth were Circus World, Olbrich Botanical Gardens, American Players Theatre, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin, Harley-Davidson Museum, EAA Aviation Museum, Lambeau Field, Milwaukee Public Museum, and Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

“We thank everyone who helped us win this award,” said Jon Jarosh, director of communication and PR at the Door County Visitor Bureau. “Door County has such passionate fans and the authenticity of our county and the experiences available here continue to inspire travelers of all ages,” he said.
