Door County’s Bjorklunden Hosts Seminar

From July 31 – August 6, Lawrence University’s Björklunden is offering the seminar, “Father of Us All” with Jay Brickman. The seminar will take place at Björklunden’s lodge, just south of Baileys Harbor.

Brickman, Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Sinai, will lead students through a study of Abraham, the founding figure of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as reflected in the Hebrew Bible and in early rabbinic Midrash (parables).

Brickman is a former president of the Milwaukee Interfaith Conference and recipient of their Frank Zeidler award. He has studied Jungian Psychology at Zurich, Switzerland and Evanston Illinois. He is the author of Reflections in a Pumpkin Field and Reflections on a Lily Pond. His most recent book, approaching publication, is Poetry Doodles.

Seminar classes meet weekday mornings and some evenings. Each seminar includes meals prepared by Björklunden’s resident chef.
