Door County’s Crossroads at Big Creek Hosts Various Programs

Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout September.

On September 25 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm, a “Lumberjack Program” will take place at the Historical Village. Costumed members of the Door County Historical Society will offer tours of the buildings and will be selling caramel apples. At 2 pm, “Lumberjacks” Pat and Mike Madden will display and demonstrate tools of the trade used during this exciting era. Attendees will have the opportunity to make a wood cookie and maybe even win the “Tree of Life.”

At 10 am on September 27, a “Buckthorn Work Party” will take place. Participants will learn about invasive species by helping with removal efforts in the Crossroads preserve.

Crossroads is located at 2041 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay. For more information call 920.746.5895 or visit http://www.crossroadsatbigcreek.org.
