Door County’s Crossroads Features Various Programs

 

Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout March.

 

March 5 at 10 am, the Crossroads and Door County Library will present a screening of Green Fire in the lecture hall of the Collins Learning Center. The documentary will explore the life of conservationist Aldo Leopold, and how his work continues to inspire and influence. The Friends of Crossroads will provide refreshments. The screening is free and open to the public.

 

March 6 – trail conditions permitting – the Friends of the Crossroads will host a Community Ski from 1 – 3 pm. Skis or snowshoes will be available to borrow until dusk. The activity is free and participants are asked to meet at the Collins Learning Center.

 

March 7 at 6:30 pm, the Friends of Crossroads will host their monthly meeting at the Collins Learning Center. During the meeting, the Friends will welcome new members and plan various activities.

 

March 8 at 7 pm the Master Gardeners will host a lecture by Greg Meissner, co-owner of Meissner Landscape, Inc., entitled “Landscape Design.” The program will emphasize the principles of landscape design, whether working with a small, medium or large property. Participants will learn how to select flowers, shrubs, and trees that grow well in Door County. The free program will take place in the lecture hall of the Collins Learning Center.
