Door County’s Crossroads Hosts Various Programs

Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout July.

July 3 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm, the Historical Village will host “The Civil War,” presented by Joe Knaapen. The program will feature stories and demonstrations of the Civil War. The event is free and open to the public. During the program, members of the Door County Historical Society will be selling ice cream sundaes and root beer floats to raise funds to maintain The Historical Village.

July 5 at 1:30 pm, the Crossroads will host a family program entitled “Great Lakes Fish.” Participants will learn more about the fish that live in Lake Michigan. The program is free.

Then at 7 pm, the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will host a meeting. “Manned and Unmanned Missions to Space” will be the debate topic. The Cultural Astronomy segment will look at American Indians. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome. The program will take place at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center.
