Door County’s Got Talent

Cupcake Heaven in Sister Bay invites everyone to stop in and enjoy live music each week this summer with local singer/songwriter Marybeth Mattson, performing June 21, June 27, every Saturday in July and on Sundays in August from 1 – 3 pm.

Mattson began her performance and songwriting career after the 2008 season of America’s Got Talent, in which piano man Eli Mattson took second place. As any good big brother, Eli encouraged Marybeth to follow her dreams and, along with fellow performer Seth Raddatz, offered constructive criticism, which helped shape her musical and lyrical choices, and gave her the courage and drive to record her first album Relative Hunger, released in 2012.

Mattson can also be found performing throughout Door County with her band, Small Forest with Patrick Palmer on bass and Jeanne Kuhns on guitar, percussion and vocals. While performances with Small Forest include the magical harmonies created by the mother/daughter team of Kuhns and Mattson, Mattson’s solo performances offer an intimacy and honesty that her fans love, with a selection of original and cover songs. Mattson will have guest performers with her at Cupcake Heaven occasionally, including members of her band and musical family.

Come enjoy the music and relax at Cupcake Heaven, located at 10647 N Bay Shore Drive (Hwy 42) in Sister Bay. For more information call 920.365.6672.
