Door County’s Hardy Gallery Donates to Habitat for Humanity

Door County Habitat for Humanity President Tracy Vreeke accepts a check from Elizabeth Meissner, executive director of The Hardy Gallery. Earlier in the fall, the Hardy held a “Paint-a-Property” fundraiser, which raffled off the chance to earn a commissioned painting by one of three local artists – Wayne Caldwell Simmons, Frances Vail, or Emmett Johns. Winning tickets were drawn at the Wild Tomato on October 9. The Hardy donated ten percent of the proceeds from that fundraiser, $255, to Habitat for Humanity.
