Door County’s Husby’s Hosts 2nd Annual Ice Fishing Tournament

Husby’s Food & Spirits in Sister Bay will host its second Ice Fishing Tournament from March 3 – 6. Fishermen and women are invited to brave the elements and try their luck in the public waters of Door and Kewaunee Counties from 4 am on Thursday, March 3 until the final weigh-in at noon on Sunday, March 6. A Mardi Gras themed ice fishing party will take place at 11 am on Saturday, March 5.

Cash prizes will be awarded to participants who bring in the three heaviest fish in these categories: walleye, perch, whitefish, brown trout and northern pike. The entry fee to fish is $20 per person, and must be purchased before the start of the tournament. Each entrant will receive a raffle ticket for prizes ranging from fishing gear to free hotel stays. Raffle winners will be drawn in Husby’s on Sunday, March 6 at 1 pm.

The Mardi Gras festival is welcome to everyone and will feature a Live Crawfish Boil for $10 per person. From 11 am – 7 pm Husby’s will feature a heated tent on the ice and host go-kart races and ice golf. (If ice conditions deteriorate, the tent will be on land.)

Ice Fishing Tournament entry tickets are available at Husby’s in Sister Bay or at Howie’s Tackle in Sturgeon Bay. For more information, contact Husby’s James Larsen at 920.737.7838 or Howie’s Paul Delaney at 920.421.0896.
