Plum Bottom Pottery will host “Project India” on October 1 from 4 – 7 pm. Plum Bottom’s resident jewelry artist Angela Lensch invites the public to attend this free event, which will feature East Indian inspired food created by local Whistling Swan chef Brett Weber. Lensch will introduce art lovers, the community and area artists to her new endeavor: Project India.
“I hope to make a bigger impact on the world through my art of jewelry,” said Lensch, who has chosen to take the first step toward this idea by traveling to India to network and connect with local artisans and gemstone producers, and the broader Indian culture.
The gallery will debut newly created autumnal inspired jewelry and pottery to be viewed while dining on savory Indian food and local Door County wine. This event will also feature a special raffle showcasing one of Lensch’s woven gemstone and pearl necklaces. 100 percent of the funds generated from the raffle will go toward Project India.
