Door/Kewaunee Legislative Days April 3-4

Get ready to educate and lobby state officials about Door and Kewaunee counties in Madison, April 3-4, during the ninth biennial Door/Kewaunee Legislative Days. The deadline to become a delegate is March 4. Agenda topics include support for additional funding for improving rural broadband, requiring rental agencies to remit room tax by municipality, support for a legislative bill to promote tourism and arts businesses and maintaining the school start date to after Labor Day. To make this event successful, active participation is needed from at least 100 Door and Kewaunee County citizen delegates, so at least one local delegate will visit with every legislator. The cost for delegates to participate is only $30, made possible thanks to a variety of area financial sponsors. The subsidized fee includes three meals and a logo polo shirt. Training sessions will be held prior to the event so that delegates can be prepared. To learn more and to register, visit dklegislativedays.com.
