Door Pen Wines Win Medals

Four wines from Door Peninsula Winery won medals at the 2014 International East Meets West Wine Challenge, conducted earlier this month in Sonoma, California. Lighthouse White won a gold medal while Sweet Apple and Cranbernet won a silver medal and Sweet Cherry was awarded a bronze medal.

The recent gold medal for Lighthouse White continues a strong streak of accolades for the semi-sweet wine. This year, it has also received awards at the recent International Women’s Wine Competition in Sonoma County, Calif., and the Florida State Fair Wine Competition in Tampa, Fla.

For Sweet Apple, the silver medal follows its bronze-medal showing at the Wisconsin State Fair Wine Competition in West Allis.

This is the second award so far this year for Sweet Cherry, as it earned a double gold at the annual Finger Lakes International Wine in Rochester, New York.
