A German television production company recently completed filming in Door County as part of a four-week tour to highlight the Great Lakes region on German Public Television.

The crew from Oktogon TV, including producer Jurgen Fritsch and cameraman Eric Lahmann, captured a variety of Door County scenes and activities to share on the travel series. They left Door County on July 3 to visit their only other Wisconsin stop, Milwaukee, before returning to Germany.

In addition to the travel series, reaching an estimated 2.5 million viewers, one or two additional Door County stories will be included online via partnerships with other German media outlets.

Jon Jarosh, director of communications and public relations for the DCVB, says “Door County’s stunning scenery helps to portray what’s available in our part of the world, and we’re proud to help represent the best of what international visitors can experience here on the Great Lakes.”
