Door Peninsula Winery Wins Two New Medals

Door Peninsula Winery has won two new medals for their award-winning wines, including a Double Gold Medal for their Cranberry. The inaugural Great American International Wine Competition awarded Door Peninsula Winery’s Cranberry wine with a Double Gold medal and Blackberry wine with a Gold Medal.

The 1st annual Great American International Wine Competition was held in late March with judging completed on March 20. The competition included 25 judges from nine countries in various wine backgrounds including Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, sommeliers, educators, enologists, winemakers, retailers, importers and wine industry writers and consultants.

More than 1,000 wines were entered from more than 100 wineries, 12 countries, and 26 United States. The full results can be viewed at wine.raiseaglassfoundation.com/results/2017.
