Door Prize for Portraiture Returns for 12th Year

The 12th annual Door Prize for Portraiture will open for public viewing Aug. 27-29, 12-4 pm, at Chez Cheryl Artspace, 8360 High Plateau Road in Baileys Harbor. This invitational exhibition – held in a century-old farm house – features the work of 33 regional artists who celebrate the portrait through a variety of styles and media.

This event not only honors portraiture, but it also fosters connections among friends and artists, giving the portrait new meaning for self-expression and narrative. 

Guest juror Jan Smith, a museum consultant and a former executive director of the Bergstrom-Mahler Glass Museum in Neenah, will select Best in Show and several honorable-mention recipients. Winners will be notified on opening day; there will be no awards reception.
