Door Shakespeare Offers Virtual ‘Rosalind’

Door Shakespeare will present its first virtual production, J.M. Barrie’s Rosalind, Sept. 2-13. Shows will be Wednesdays – Fridays, 7:30 pm; Saturdays, 5 pm and 7:30 pm; and Sundays, 5 pm.

Rosalind tells the story of the mother of a famous London stage actress, known for her portrayal of Rosalind in Shakespeare’s As You Like It. While vacationing at the cottage of Dame Quickly, a young man appears at the door – a young man who’s in love with the famous London actress, whose mother is staying at the cottage. What unfolds is a heartfelt, comedic rollercoaster that moves through the emotional highs and lows of first loves.

Rehearsals will take place on Zoom, but to have more control over the quality and production aspects, Rosalind will be recorded for performance. The cast includes Kay Allmand as Mrs. Page, Rhonda Rae Busch as Dame Quickly and Alexander Johnson as Charles Roche.

Tickets range from $7.50 to $16 and can be purchased online. Learn more at
