Door Shakespeare Prepares for Auditions

Door Shakespeare is currently preparing auditions for their 2011 season, which will feature Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and Pride and Prejudice, adapted from Jane Austen’s famous novel. The plays will be performed from July 8 – Aug. 21. Rehearsals will begin June 13. All audition studio locations are to be announced.

Auditions are by invitation through a submission of a current headshot and resume. Door Shakespeare will contact applicants via email or phone with an invitation to their auditions approximately one week prior to the audition date. Dates and locations include: Feb. 13 – Door County (submissions should be received by Feb. 9); Feb. 19 – Minneapolis (submission should be received by Feb. 9); Feb. 25 – Chicago (submissions should be received by Feb. 14); and Feb. 26 – Milwaukee (submissions should be received by Feb. 15).

Those interested are asked to submit a picture, resume, and cover letter indicating in which city they would like to be seen via U.S. mail. No online submissions can be accepted. Several acting, technical, costume, and administrative internships are also available. Any interested interns, Lawrence University students, and Door County residents can email [email protected] to set up an audition and/or interview.
