Door Shakespeare Wants to Know Your Story

Inspired by Door Shakespeare’s 2014 season, featuring King Lear and The Comedy Of Errors, the organizations are seeking true, non-fiction stories from the community based on the theme: lost and found.

Submissions should be no longer than 1,500 words, written in the first person, and able to be read in front of an audience of all ages. After stories are selected, writers will have the opportunity to craft their storytelling skills with Jerod Santek of Write On, Door County and Jennefer Ludwigsen of Door Shakespeare before the event.

Whether you are a storytelling pro, or if you’ve never performed in front of an audience, or put your story on paper, as long as you have a great real-life tale, you will have the support to participate.

The live storytelling event will take place on June 15 at 2 pm (location TBA). All stories and pitches should be emailed to [email protected] no later than Friday, May 16. For more information call 920.839.1500 or 920.868.1457.
