Door Shakespeare Welcomes Managing Director

Elissa Wolf has joined Door Shakespeare as its managing director and will oversee all aspects of the theater company’s operations. 

She has worked in artistic, administrative and supervisory roles with multiple arts organizations, including the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company and the former Chicago Youth Shakespeare. Wolf holds a B.F.A. in theater performance from UW-La Crosse and a master of arts in Shakespeare and creativity from the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, a program that’s partnered with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Wolf has called Ellison Bay her home for the summer since childhood, and she also has a history with Door Shakespeare as a volunteer and performance attendee.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Door Shakespeare team,” Wolf said. “I love this theater’s work, vision and values, and I look forward to contributing to its future growth and success.”
