Door to Door Local Harvest C.S.A. Switches Hands

Door to Door Local Harvest C.S.A., opened by Corrine Lea in 2009 in Northern Door, has recently changed hands. The Laurent family, Matthew and Tonya and their four children, purchased Door to Door and plans to run it with the same motto: “Local food delivered to your door.”

One of the things about Door to Door that was appealing to the Laurent family is that the C.S.A. delivers all of its shares, making it convenient to “buy local.” Long-time residents of Door County, the Laurent family can relate to how busy summers get.

Located in the Brussels area, the Laurent family mostly grows heirloom and organic seeds without the use of chemicals. Door to Door also offers fruit, eggs, and bread from local growers and farms. Members of Door to Door have an option to customize their delivery.

Door to Door will be offering all of the previous delivery areas of Northern Door, Sturgeon Bay, and Southern Door, as well adding the Algoma, Brussels, and Dykesville areas.

Door to Door currently has individual and family size shares available; sign-up is open until June 1, 2011.
