Door-Tran Helps Kayla Kudick in myTEAM TRIUMPH Training

Kayla Kudick, who resides in Sturgeon Bay, always wanted to participate in the Bellin Run and now she can through her partnership with myTEAM TRIUMPH Wisconsin and Door-Tran.

Kim Gilson, volunteer coordinator at Door-Tran, said, “Kayla came to Door-Tran in early April hoping to find a way to her practices on Wednesday evenings in Green Bay.” Kudick had already been asked to join a three-member team through myTEAM TRIUMPH Wisconsin to participate in the Bellin Run on June 11.

Door-Tran’s County-Wide Volunteer Transportation Program was a good match for Kudick, however, the program hours are primarily 8 am to 4 pm and her practice began at 5:30 pm. “We will do what we can do, Kayla. We have wonderful volunteers who may be willing to help out,” Gilson told her. She put a request out to the drivers and within a couple of hours three volunteers came forward to help Kudick get to her practices and meet her goal for the Bellin Run.

Kudick’s new venture won’t end with the Bellin Run. She and her team of Angels will continue practice for the Door County Half Iron Triathlon on July 17 and the Packers 5K Run on the July 23.

Door-Tran staff and volunteers are proud to partner with Kudick and myTEAM TRIUMPH Wisconsin to ensure her participation in these events and are excited to hear the results of their hard work and dedication.
