Doors First “Dirty Dash”

Door County’s Adventure Center is excited to host a new team race/mud run to support the community on September 6, 2014 from 10 am – 4 pm. The Door’s Dirty Dash is HELP of Door County Inc.’s newest fundraiser that keeps their services available for Door County families needing support for battling domestic violence.

Before mud runs took off in the United States, the only organizations that offered adventure races were experiential learning centers such as Door County Adventure Center. Since “Tough Mudder” began in 2009, this new racing concept has taken off and given racing junkies and competitors alike a fresh perspective on accomplishment – a team perspective. Most other races like marathons and triathlons have a personal focus, whereas the Door’s Dirty Dash cannot be completed alone.

Bring your families out to watch parents, friends and other family members get dirty doing things you never thought you would see. Immediately following the race, spectators will be welcomed to fly through the sky on the Adventure Zip Line Tour and Flying Squirrel High Ropes Element for only $5/person, a 90 percent discount. All proceeds from the race benefit Help of Door County’s cause.
