Doulagivers of Door County Hosts Two Programs

Doulagivers of Door County continue their monthly program, “Dying to Talk,” on Aug. 21 at 5:30 pm. It is co-hosted with End of Life Doula VJR. Join this community gathering to discuss dying. Learn about what an End of Life Doula is and how much of an impact they can have during the dying process. Share stories and support each other over small bites, coffee and tea. The only thing on the agenda is to come together and talk honestly about life.

“Dying to Talk” is hosted at Get Real Café, located at 116 S. Madison in Sturgeon Bay. For registration and more information call Get Real Café at 920.818.1455 or Marggie Hatala at 920.495.1566.

The Doulagivers of Door County will also host the free program “New Changes within End of Life” on Aug. 23, 2-3 pm at ADRC Door County Community Center. This discussion is about how community members will soon be cared for as these changes happen. Learn what an End of Life Doula is, how they assist both the ill and their caregivers. Doulagivers of Door County will be joined by other agencies/facilities giving updates. The program is informational, but also includes community discussion. The ADRC Community Center is located at 916 N. 14th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. To register or for more information call 920.495.1566 or visit marggiehatala.com.
