The Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a socially distanced downtown Algoma sidewalk sale Sept. 19, 10 am – 5 pm. Face masks are highly recommended. Steele Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between 2nd and 4th Streets to accommodate the participating retailers.
Enjoy the Algoma Lions Club’s steak fry, 10 am – 3 pm; live music, 11 am – 3 pm; refreshments for purchase from the Algoma Fire and Rescue squad; and a car show on 3rd Street, 10 am – 2 pm.
“We are very excited to be able to promote our local businesses by providing this venue for them,” said Kay Smith, Chamber of Commerce executive director. “We hope residents and visitors alike will come out and support the retailers and nonprofits that have been greatly affected this year.”
Businesses that are interested in participating should contact the Chamber by Sept. 12 at 920.487.2041 or register at algoma.org/sidewalk-sale.
