Dr. Joan Traver Receives 2013 Outstanding Citizen Award

John Skogsbakken, Vice President of the Kiwanis Club of Northern Door, presents the 2013 Outstanding Citizen Award to Dr. Joan Traver.

The Kiwanis Club of Northern Door recently honored Dr. Joan Traver with their 2013 Outstanding Citizen Award. The award is presented in recognition of the contributions and dedication of a citizen or citizens who have consistently demonstrated their selfless leadership and volunteered their time and skills to the Northern Door community.

Dr. Traver was presented with a plaque recognizing her for “35 Years of Compassionate Community Health Care,” encompassing service at Scandia Village, the Community Clinic of Door County, and the emergency room of Door County Memorial Hospital.

The club also installed new officers and directors at the annual fall banquet: President – Walton Brandt, Vice Presidents – John Skogsbakken and Eugene Jarvis, Secretary – Jon Peterson, Treasurer – Frank Weber, and Directors – Jack Axelson, George Drastata and Terry Heidenreiter.
