Dr. Melissa Nelson Visits the International Council of Indigenous Grandmothers

Dr. Melissa Nelson recently returned from the 11th Gathering of the International Council of Indigenous Grandmothers, held in Lame Deer, Montana.

Grandmother Margaret Behan and Chief Phillip Whiteman Jr. hosted the council on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation and came together in prayer with the intention of healing generational trauma. The theme was “Gratitude Brings Freedom.”

Nelson has served the Council of Grandmothers by providing health care as they travel the world carrying prayers of peace and being a voice for the voiceless and stewards of Mother Earth.

Nelson is owner of The Nelson Healing Center, serving holistic chiropractic and integrated medicine for over 33 years. Nelson continues to bring leading edge therapies to Door County at her Sturgeon Bay office.
