Dragonfly Gallery & Gardens Opens for 2010 Season

The Dragonfly Gallery & Gardens begin their third season Saturday, May 29. The gallery features jewelry, fabric creations, recycled art, birdhouses, paintings, pottery, and garden art from many artists including Jim Hoye, who creates twig furniture, and Dave Petranek, known for his “Whimsical Wings.”

New additions to the gallery include hand-carved shorebirds by Gene McElroy, the dragonfly pottery and paintings of Cynthia Linnabary, and a beautiful collection of Antique Redwing Art Pottery.

Upcoming events at the Ladybug Studio of the gallery include an exhibit by the students of Milwaukee’s charter school, The School for Urban Planning and Architecture with art instructor, Barb Opferman. This event will take place July 4 through July 10. Several of the students will be available to discuss their artwork.

The Ladybug Studio seeks artist who have talent to share.

The gallery, located south of Sister Bay on Hwy. 57, is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm, and Sunday, 11 am – 4 pm. For more information call 920.854.9900.
