Dual Signing

Peninsula School of Art (PenArt) invites the public to celebrate the creative lives of two iconic Door County artists with a book signing on June 27, 1 – 3 pm. Author Franne Dickinson of Ephraim tells the story of how her painting process has been impacted by music, drama, poetry and dance in her memoir Stay at the Party Long … at Play in the Arts. Also a resident of Ephraim, author Paul Burton will sign his biography of PenArt’s founder, titled Madeline Tourtelot Remembered. Both artists will read brief selections from their books.

The signing coincides with the first availability of the sale of umbrellas painted with waterproof paints and dyes by Door County artists. The proceeds from the sale of both Madeline Tourtelot Remembered and the custom umbrellas will benefit programs at Peninsula School of Art.
