Dyckesville Hosts St. Louis Parish Summer Festival

The Kewaunee Chamber Maids will be the featured attraction at the parade kicking off the St. Louis Parish Summer Festival at 11 am on July 31 on the church grounds in Dyckesville.

The Bobby Rivers Band will provide live music from 11 am – 4 pm. Rivers began doing vocal impressions in 1985. He has opened for such acts as Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Herman’s Hermits, and Vic Ferrari. He has written and recorded hundreds of songs and dozens of albums. A “Basket Mania” raffle will take place at the festival and, as always, the festival will include a car show.

Food, beverages and entertainment will begin immediately after the 10 am Mass and will continue until 4 pm. The event will feature Jake Smith’s homemade booyah, Belgian trippe, hamburgers, hotdogs, homemade tortes and Belgian pies (by the pie or slice), ice cream, beer and soda.

One thousand dollars will be awarded in a raffle, with the drawing at 4 pm. The event will also feature children games and a White Elephant sale.
