E-commerce Seminars Coming Up in Door County

• The Door County Economic Development Corporation and the Door County Visitor Bureau are hosting two e-commerce business education seminars. The events, held Tuesday, Sept. 24, and Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, will help local businesses learn how to connect with customers online.

The Sept. 24 program, titled Introduction to E-Commerce, will cover the growth of e-commerce, electronic marketing and search engine optimization.

The Oct. 1 program, titled Amazon Pro Merchant and Adding E-Commerce to your Existing Site, will cover using the Amazon Marketplace to sell goods.

• The Gibraltar Fire Station is holding an open house on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 am to 2 pm. Stop by to meet your local firefighters, tour the station and see the trucks. A burn demonstration and water games for kids will take place, and food has been donated. This event is also an opportunity for interested potential volunteers to talk with firefighters about getting involved.

The Gibraltar Fire Station is located at 3496 County Highway F in Fish Creek.

• The Village of Sister Bay and Town of Liberty Grove are hosting a Shredding/Appliance Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 am to 1 pm. Town and village residents and business owners are welcome to participate by dropping off documents to be shredded for free. Many household appliances can often be dropped off for free, but some will include a $15 charge.

• The Wisconsin Coastal Management Committee will meet in Egg Harbor on Sept. 26. The meeting will be open to the public. The agenda has not yet been posted.
