Eagle Bluff Light Station Yesteryear Program

The Door County Historical Society will host its Saturday afternoon yesteryear program “150 Years at Eagle Bluff Light Station,” presented by Society Member Ed Miller on June 23, 1 pm in the Collins Learning Center at Crossroads at Big Creek.

Dressed in costume as lighthouse keeper William Duclon, Miller will share the history of Eagle Bluff Light Station and take you on a trip through time to discover what made Eagle Bluff unique. Eagle Bluff Light Station underwent a major restoration starting in 1960 and several years passed before it was ready for public tours. Information about the continuing restoration plans will also be presented.

This program does not have an admission fee, but an offering will be taken to support the restoration at Eagle Bluff Light Station. Heritage Village is open for tours prior to the presentation beginning at 10 am and after the presentation until 3 pm. Adult admission is $6.50. A donation is requested in lieu of a children’s admission fee. For more information call 920.421.2332 or email [email protected].

The next yesteryear program, scheduled for June 30, is a train double feature with Northern Sky Theater’s Boxcar, the Musical featuring actor Jeff Herbst and composer James Valcq and “Ahnapee & Western Railroad” by Andy Laurent.
