Eagle Tower Receives Matching $100,000 Grant

A local foundation has approved a $100,000 dollar-for-dollar matching grant for the Eagle Tower fundraising efforts. This news arrives weeks after an initial $100,000 donation was confirmed, which allowed the project committee and state department to move forward with the selection of an architect/engineer. Donations made through foundations or other grants do not apply to this matching donation. “We are grateful to have this challenge gift as we move into the holiday season and we hope it encourages potential donors to make a contribution now. Our committee and the state continue to move forward on this project as aggressively as possible,” said Rachel Stollenwerk, campaign director. The Eagle Tower Committee has also launched a holiday season gift campaign. This opportunity allows donors to make a contribution in honor of a friend, family member or loved one. Holiday donation forms can be downloaded on the website at eagletowerfund.com and returned to PO Box 353, Eagle Tower Fund Committee, Egg Harbor WI 54209. It is recommended to return holiday donation forms by Monday, Dec. 12. Donations are tax deductible and checks can be made out to Friends of Peninsula State Park – Eagle Tower Fund. Donations can be mailed to Eagle Tower Fund Committee, PO Box 353, Egg Harbor, WI 54209. For more information on the project and fundraising please visit eagletowerfund.com or contact Campaign Director Rachel Stollenwerk.
