Quarterback Drew Daoust ran for four touchdowns and running back Zack Lynch rushed for three more Friday night when Southern Door won its Packerland Conference football game at home against Marinette, 54-14.
Daoust, who also completed five of 13 passes for 51 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, accounted for 170 of the Eagles’ 309 rushing yards. Lynch added 108 yards on the ground.
Southern Door, which led 39-14 at halftime, tallied its other touchdown on defense in the second quarter when Cruz Cavillo recovered a fumble and ran into the end zone from 66 yards away.
Up next for the Eagles, who improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the Packerland, is a conference game Sept. 22 at Peshtigo.
