Eagles Soar Past Clippers in Girls Hoops

Southern Door’s girls basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak Monday with a 70-44 Packerland Conference home victory over Sturgeon Bay.

The Eagles had three players score in double figures led by Allianna Dufek with 18 points. Ashlyn Delfosse added 17 points, and Bella Price tallied 16 more.

The Clippers were led by Cady Carlson and Autumn Rass with 11 points apiece.

Southern Door, which improved to 5-6 in conference play at 10-9 overall, returns to action Thursday with a league game at Oconto.

Sturgeon Bay (0-11, 2-16) next hosts conference games Tuesday against Sevastopol and Thursday against NEW Lutheran.
