Eastern Star Group Donates to Therapy Dog Program

The Sturgeon Bay Eastern Star Group, Honor Chapter #1, donated $250 to the Therapy Dogs Program at Sturgeon Bay Schools. The program provides therapy dogs for kids in crisis situations and as reading companions. Some kids are reluctant to read aloud to their peers but will happily read to the therapy dog. A representative of the Therapy Dogs Program said, “We’re told that most dogs like to hear stories about history but are happy with any story.”
