EBSC Donates to Door County Humane Society

The Ellison Bay Service Club (EBSC) recently donated $2,000 to the Door County Humane Society, which is now contending with an influx of animals rescued from the winter cold. These contributions, and others, were made possible by proceeds from last year’s 47th annual Olde Ellison Bay Days festival.

“Of course, we are a nonprofit organization,” said EBSC president Kim Shumway. “Other nonprofits, such as the VFW, operate concessions at Olde Ellison Bay Days, so every cent earned goes back into the community, where it’s most needed.”

The 48th annual Olde Ellison Bay Days begins June 26. Openings are still available for new sponsors and parade participants, and volunteers are still needed. For more information call Bob or Faith Murray at 920.421.1753 or 920.421.1754.
