Eco-Friendly Activities at Crossroads

Crossroads at Big Creek will host a series of events to promote its mission of eco-friendly activities. Guest speaker Zori Zawojski of Sunnypoint Gardens will give a lecture discussing what’s new and exciting for home gardeners in the coming year. Refreshments will be served. The program is free and open to the public.

As soon as we receive enough snowfall to create a base, the expanded Ski-For-Free program will get underway. Volunteers from the Door County Silent Sports Alliance will team with Friends of Crossroads to help visitors of all ages select and put on loaned winter sports equipment. The loaner skis and snowshoes must be used at Crossroads. The equipment loan program will run Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 3:30 pm when weather conditions are adequate. The skis and snowshoes are stored in the lower level of the Collins Learning Center.

On Jan. 13 at 6 pm, the Friends of Crossroads will un-deck the halls of Crossroads and put away holiday decorations and then plan projects for the coming year. Visitors and prospective volunteers are welcome. Meet in the lower level of the Collins Learning Center. For more information visit crossroadsatbigcreek.com.
