Crossroads at Big Creek (crossroadsatbigcreek.org), 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, will continue its Nature by Appointment program Aug. 14, 15, 19 and 20, with time slots at 9, 10 and 11 am; and 5, 6 and 7 pm. Safer at Home units, individuals, or small groups of friends – wearing face masks and practicing social distancing – may participate in a 45-minute, private outdoor nature program with a naturalist. A tour of the Bird and Butterfly Garden is also open to all and can accommodate those using mobility-assist devices.
To make an appointment, email [email protected], using “Nature by Appointment” as the subject line. List the names of participants (and the ages of children), the times when you’re available and the program topic of your choice: the Field Trail Loop Tour, Water Critters for Kids or a tour of the Bird and Butterfly Garden.
Volunteers are needed Aug. 14, 7-9 am; and Aug. 18, 6-8 pm, to work on the Begin with the Creek ecological restoration project. Volunteers are asked to maintain social distancing and supply their own water, sunscreen and boots.
