Edgewood Celebrates Centennial with Shelter Exhibit

Edgewood Orchard Galleries opens Exhibit IV with a group show titled Shelter. A reception to meet the artists is Sept. 1, 4-7 pm. Wine and hors d’ oeuvres are served and the public is welcome.

The paintings of Tom Nachreiner are featured in the Courtyard Gallery throughout Exhibit IV. Nachreiner will demonstrate his oil painting techniques in the gallery courtyard Sept. 2, 1-3 pm.

Built in 1918, the Edgewood Orchard barn played host to the property’s apple and cherry orchard for 50 years. Since 1969 it has been the main display space for the gallery. The father of the current owner, Nell Jarosh, and previous galley owner, Minnow Emerson, added beautiful carved and stained glass windows and doors to the barn throughout the years enhancing its beauty.

The artwork created for this show will demonstrate the many forms of shelter. As the artwork sells new works will be displayed on an ongoing basis giving the show a fresh look daily.

The gallery is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road in Fish Creek. The gallery is open 10 am – 5 pm daily through Oct. 28. For more information call 920.868.3579 or visit edgewoodorchard.com.
