Edgewood Hosts Reception for Abstract Show

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a reception for Exhibit IV Sept. 2, 4 – 7 pm. Abstraction is a group show focusing on abstract art inspired by texture and color. Artist introductions will be at 5 pm in the courtyard, and wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Painter Rebecca Crowell will be at the gallery signing her book Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts and Conversations, which was written in collaboration with San Francisco-based artist and writer Jerry McLaughlin. “I believe that this book is not only an excellent resource for those starting out, but also a source of inspiration for those more experienced with the medium,” said Crowell.

Nachreiner’s impressionist paintings will be featured in the Courtyard Gallery. Nachreiner works mostly in plein air. His oil paintings are full of energy, capturing mood and light with dynamic design.

“I paint often, working spontaneously, with high energy, and a positive spirit. I want to say just enough with paint to evoke the imagination,” said Nachreiner.

Nachreiner will demonstrate his painting techniques in the gallery courtyard Sept. 3, 1-3 pm.

Jewelry by Olga Ganoudis will be showcased, featuring a collection inspired by richly patterned fabrics and textured metals. Her wide traveling experience and her Greek heritage influence her esthetic expression.

Exhibit IV will be displayed through Sept. 20. Edgewood Orchard Galleries is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road, midway between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. For more information call 920.868.3579 or visit
