Edgewood Orchard Welcomes Sculptor Gaylord Ho

Edgewood Orchard Galleries announce internationally known sculptor Gaylord Ho will visit the gallery on August 24 and August 25 from 2 – 4 pm. He will greet collectors and visitors and answer questions about his work. This event is open to the public and refreshments will be served.

J.R. Jarosh, gallery co-owner, shares, “While it is always a treat for gallery visitors to meet and talk with an artist, it is particularly special to be able to meet an artist like Gaylord whose studio time is spent in Taiwan or Shanghai, China.”

Ho has earned a strong international reputation as a master sculptor and has won many awards and received international recognition for his work.

Among Ho’s many achievements was being asked by the Vatican to create a sculpture for Pope Benedict XVI in honor of his 80th birthday and the second anniversary of his Papacy. Ho presented the sculpture to the Pope on the steps of St. Peter’s Basilica in front a crowd gathered for Wednesday blessings.

Ho is honored to have his art on permanent display in the Vatican along with artwork from a few of the world’s greatest artists like Michelangelo and Raphael.

This is the first season that Edgewood Orchard Galleries will show Ho’s work. To meet Ho, call the gallery for an appointment or go to the welcoming reception.
