Egg Harbor and Jacksonport Historical Societies Share Local History

The Egg Harbor Historical Society will start its summer series of free programs June 17, 3 pm, at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor. The society’s Giz Herbst will present the programs each Monday through Aug. 19.

The June 17 program, “Early Settlements Along Door County’s Shoreline: Before the 1900s,” will explore 36 settlements. The June 24 program, “Early Inland Settlements,” is a continuation, covering 17 settlements – a surprise to many about what was here and why. On July 1, explore the Township of Egg Harbor, and on July 8, get a bird’s-eye view of the village. Egg Harbor and Door County icon Dr. H.F. Eames will be the subject in August.Visit eggharborwi.com to learn more and see a full schedule of summer events.
