Egg Harbor Claims Second Straight County League Title

The Door County League Baseball championship trophy is staying put: Egg Harbor won its second straight regular-season title Aug. 4 with a 4-2 victory over Kolberg.

Cody Giesseman led the way for Egg Harbor with three hits and a home run. Nick Posh added three hits of his own, and Joe Sawyer had two as the Indians ended Sister Bay’s hopes of reclaiming the championship.

Egg Harbor is 12-1, while Sister Bay is 10-3 with one game to play. Either Egg Harbor (five) or Sister Bay (four) has won each of the last nine Door County League Baseball championships. It’s Egg Harbor’s sixth in the last 11 years and ninth overall.
