Egg Harbor Commission Recommends Approval of Food Truck Permit

A food truck received preliminary approval last week in the Village of Egg Harbor.

The Egg Harbor Plan Commission voted to recommend that the village board approve a license for Tori Martinez of Mauricio’s to park and serve food in the Hatch Distillery parking lot.

Commissioner Chris Roedl, who operates Hatch Distillery, abstained from voting.

Plan Commission Chair Cambria Mueller asked if the food truck would cause the business to have an insufficient number of parking spaces in its lot. Hatch has 44 parking spots, and with seating for 147 inside and outside of the business, it needs 36 spaces, Mueller said.

The truck would occupy three spaces, leaving room to spare.
