Art lovers can visit two Egg Harbor galleries Oct. 5 to watch demonstrations.
Guest artist Leslie Perrino will take her small kiln to Cappaert Contemporary Gallery (920.868.3987), 1-3 pm, to share the basics of applying glass powder to a copper base and, in just minutes, coming out with a shiny, hot, colorful surface known as enameled jewelry; and to demonstrate a variety of simple and complex techniques.
Ginnie Cappaert paints large, minimalist, abstract landscapes using oil and cold wax in a small log studio in her gardens and will demonstrate her work, 1-3 pm, while answering questions about her art and processes.
At Plum Bottom Gallery Downtown (920.743.2819), 11 am – 1 pm, resident jewelry artist Angela Olson Luberger and resident painter Mary White will be on hand. White will demonstrate her technique of capturing Door County landscapes with a colorful and textural painting technique. Luberger will also demonstrate her work and accept custom jewelry orders, 1-3 pm.
