Egg Harbor’s Holly Day Festival is a weekend full of old-fashioned holiday fun. The festival will be held the weekend of Thanksgiving, Nov. 29 and 30. The event kicks-off the official Christmas season with festive family fun, dazzling decorations and holiday activities for all ages.

Start the weekend with Breakfast with Santa at the Landmark Resort on Nov. 29 from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Enjoy a delicious breakfast surrounded by plenty of seasonal decorations, get photos taken with Santa, decorate cookies, create different arts & crafts and top it all off with a hayride.

The family weekend features a children’s Elf Hunt and a Mistle Dough shopping contest for adults on Friday and Saturday. Horse-drawn wagon rides through downtown Egg Harbor will begin at Mojo Rosa’s and are offered both Friday and Saturday.

On Nov. 29 at 4:30pm, visit Harbor View Park in the heart of Egg Harbor to meet Santa, partake in a traditional Christmas tree lighting, and sing fun-filled carols and festive tunes.

Nov. 30, starts with fun children’s activities between 10 am – 1 pm. They can decorate cookies at Pink Bakery, get glitter tattoos at Something Fishy, and listen to a storyteller at Liberty Square Shops. The 12th annual Children’s Christmas Store will be held at the Bertschinger Center from noon – 2 pm. Children ages 4 to 12 can purchase holiday gifts for their family with help from Santa’s elves.

A new event this year, The “Reindeer” Drop, will take place at Lena’s Lot on the south end of town, across from Liberty Square at 1 pm. Tickets will be for sale the day of the event for a $10 donation and only 100 tickets will be available. The winner will take home half the pot. The other half of the pot, along with proceeds from the children’s activities will benefit Family Centers of Door County.

Third Avenue Playhouse performers will be caroling throughout downtown from 10 am – 3 pm. Make sure to bring your camera and visit Santa Land at Main Street Shops between 1 – 3 pm to take pictures with Santa and enjoy holiday music by a violinist. Prizes for the Elf Hunt and Mistle Dough shopping contest will also be awarded in Santa Land at Main Street Shops at 3 pm.

All events are free of charge. Proceeds will be donated to Family Centers of Door County.
