Egg Harbor Library Celebrates Bookmobile Day

Celebrate National Bookmobile Day, April 11, and National Library Month with a sneak peek at Door County’s own historic bookmobile. The Egg Harbor Historical Society and bookmobile friends will present the story of the bookmobile through pictures and artifacts during the celebration from 10 am to 1 pm at the Egg Harbor Library at the Kress Pavilion.

As a special treat, Gary Bellin, the last Door County Bookmobile driver/librarian, plans on attending to meet and greet old friends. In addition to the presentation and display, attendees can celebrate National Drop Everything and Read Day by taking a Polaroid to take home of themselves in a “Drop Everything and Read” pose.

Other Egg Harbor Library special guests include Door County Library Director Tina Kakuske and Nellie Bly the therapy dog. There will also be refreshments and book giveaways. This event is free and open to the public.
